What we make

Three designers, one chip: a solid 3D print in Bambu Lab PLA (pet tags in tough PETG) with a 25 mm round or 21 × 11 mm NTAG213 sticker inside — in stock, included, programmed before it ships.

Real prints, photographed

Every photo is a tag or plaque made in these designers and printed in Melbourne — no renders.

What an NFC tag can and can't do

The chip is a passive NTAG213: no battery, 144 bytes, read from 1–4 cm away. That holds one web link (up to about 130 characters), a phone number or an SMS — one action per tag.

How the chip goes in — the mid-print pause for tags and pet tags, the back pocket on plaques — is explained on each designer page and in the NFC tags guide.

How ordering works

  1. Design it in the browser — name, shape, symbol or logo, colours from the Bambu Lab PLA range, size and thickness. The 3D preview and price update as you go; a logo is traced in your browser, not uploaded.
  2. Tick "Add NFC chip" and choose the tap: link, call, SMS, Wi-Fi or automation. The designer greys out sizes too small for the chip.
  3. Pay by card (Stripe) or PayPal in Australian dollars. Several tags? Put the quantity and each link or number in the order notes, or ask for a quote.
  4. We print, program and post it in 3–5 business days; the tracking number is emailed on dispatch.

FAQ

Where can I buy NFC tags in Melbourne?

From Formada3D — we 3D print NFC tags, pet tags and logo plaques in Melbourne and post them to you. Build the tag online in the NFC Tag Designer, Pet ID Designer or Business Logo Maker, pay by card or PayPal, and it is printed to order in 3–5 business days. There is no shop counter or pickup; every order ships tracked, Australia-wide.

Can I get custom printed NFC tags with my own name or design?

Yes. In the NFC Tag Designer you add your name, a symbol or your logo, pick colours from the Bambu Lab PLA range, a size from 25 to 70 mm and 3 to 6 mm thick, and tick Add NFC chip. From A$10.99 with the chip included and programmed before it ships, printed to order in Melbourne in 3–5 business days. Several tags? Put the quantity and each link or number in the order notes, or ask for a quote.

Can I get custom printed NFC tags with my logo?

Yes. Upload an SVG, PNG or JPG to the Business Logo Maker and it is traced into up to four filament colours and printed raised on a plaque, keyring or bag tag, with the NFC chip pocket added for A$2. The print is quoted in the designer by size, shape and colours. Upload only logos you own — no licensed logos or characters.

Where can I find NFC tags for my pet?

The Pet ID NFC Tag Designer makes a round tag with the name on the front, your number on the back and an NTAG213 chip sealed inside mid-print, so a finder taps a phone on it and your number comes up to call. From A$26.95 (A$24.95 single-colour or A$32.95 two-colour, plus A$2 for the chip); the chip needs the Medium 32 mm round tag or larger.

Do NFC tags work with iPhone and Android?

Yes for links, calls and SMS: iPhone XS/XR and newer and nearly every Android since 2015 read a tag in the background and show a banner. Wi-Fi is the one difference — most Androids join from the tag, while an iPhone needs a link or a Shortcut, which is how we set up Wi-Fi tags.

How much does an NFC tag cost?

From A$10.99 for a personalised tag with the chip included (A$8.99 tag plus A$2 chip), from A$26.95 for a pet ID tag, and a logo plaque is quoted per design plus A$2 for the chip. Bigger sizes, more characters or a thicker tag add a little — the designer shows the exact price as you build.

Can I change what the tag does later, or lock it?

Both. Tags stay rewritable by default, so you can repoint one with a free NFC app such as NFC Tools or send us the new details. For a plaque in a public place, ask us to lock the chip before shipping — locking is permanent, so we only do it on request.
